Fall 2018 Contest Roundup

For the last three fall 2018 contests, Chapter 26 was out in force... well as much as we could be for a smallish chapter. :)  Steve De La Cruz finally finished his eight-month long annual (for real this year!) and joined Susan Bell at the Borrego Akrofest in October, both taking first in their respective categories. Borrgeo this fall not only provided an overnight rain storm, but also the spectacle of Canadian paratroopers training off the arrival end of the runway, while the C-130 they flew in on almost took out the judging line.

At the Tequila Cup in Marana, Arizona, Steve and Susan were joined by Barrett Hines flying for 26 and the chapter took home the actual Tequila Cup as top-scoring chapter. Susan swept Sportsman, while Steve took first and Barrett third in Intermediate. As usual, the Arizona contest was nicely run and we enjoyed watching the Air Force glider team compete.

At our own contest in November, Foxy Figures, we had five chapter members competing. We welcomed new member Lloyd Massey to his first contest in his Super Decathlon Bessie. See more in the Foxy Figures news post.
