CALIFORNIA POINT SERIES

CALIFORNIA POINT SERIES OVERVIEW

The California Point Series was conceived in 1982 by Lonnie English. Its purpose is to encourage participation in the California aerobatic contests. A winner is chosen in each category by combining the best three California contest points scores. If more than three contests are flown, the top three scores are used.

The participating chapters are:

     • Chapter 26, Southern California Aerobatic Club (formerly Delano)
     • Chapter 36, San Diego Hammerheads

     • Chapter 38, Northern California Aerobatic Club
     • Chapter 49, Los Angeles Aerobatic Club

Throughout the years, California contests have been held at Borrego Springs, Delano, Redlands, Apple Valley, Paso Robles, Coalinga, and, beginning in 2018, Lancaster.
